Hi there, I’m Jesse!
I’m 26 and I’m a photographer from outer-eastern Melbourne. My background is largely in journalism and photojournalism, from my old career at Mail News Group in Healesville. Nowadays, I do communications work and spend as much of my time as possible taking photos for 1000 Portrait Project.
I’ve got experience in portraiture (including family portraits), street photography, film photography, still life, landscapes and wedding photography.
If you’d like to work together, whether it’s for a large project, something small and quick, or a free portrait shoot for 1000 Portrait Project, I’d love to chat and tee something up!
This website has only just been set up, so you’ll soon be able to see some of my work. For now, enjoy my big ol’ face up there.
1000 Portrait Project
I take a few portraits from time to time for my three-year 1000 Portrait Project.
The name gives you most of the idea - I’m working to photograph 1000 people over three (and a bit) years and posting a story or a quote alongside their photo.
Here’s a few of my favourites faces from some of the 580-ish fine folks I’ve photographed to date.
If you’d like me to take some photos of your fine face, get in touch! The project is all free - you get some photos, I get some photos. No strings.
You can also sign up to the 1000 Portrait Project mailing list here - I’ll send through updates on the project, exhibitions, opportunities for portraits and bits and pieces you might find interesting!
