Before ya get scrollin: the best way to approach photo work with me is to drop me a line (clickin’ that big ol’ contact heading at the top of the page), tell me what you’d like photo-wise, and what kind of money you have to play with. I can give you a “hell yea” or a “what about this?” and almost never a “lol fark owf”

But if you’re sussin’ me out, everything below is a guide to get you started.

Free photos

I don’t work for free. Nobody should (fuckin gotchya, didn’t I?)

I do collaborate with cool people on cool projects, but if you’re earning money, so should your crew. If you’ve got a cool project / want to play around and make art, I’m definitely keen to hear about it. If I’m not keen, I’ll let you know politely.

Drop me a line.

Photo rates

  • Per hour: $275

  • Half day (4 hours): $750

  • Full day (8 hours, plus 30 min break and oh my god please feed me vegan food somewhere in here): $1100

  • Additional travel cost (for travel exceeding 1hr): $100 p/h

The above prices cover things like headshots and portraits, family photos and small events.

Please note that product photography, corporate or stock image photoshoots may carry a higher price, with publication, licensing and usage periods to be discussed.

Locations will be outdoors (public space) or private space made available by the client.

But, look, we’ll make some magic wherever we are, I’m sure.

Film photography

I adore shooting film, and I’d recommend adding it in to any shoot we do!

But there are a few more overheads for shooting it, and if we’re chatting about a project on film, I’ll factor in pricing based on the below.

  • 35mm or 120 (medium format) film: $150-200 (for one 36-photo roll of 35mm / 10-photo roll of 120).

  • Polaroid film: $100 (for 8 photos).

  • Instax square film: $50 (Covering 10 photos) (wait until you see the gigantic camera I’m taking them with - worth every cent)

  • Instax mini film: $30 (covering 10 photos).

The prices above include developing and scanning of roll-film, and scanning and postage for instant photos.

It’s worth it, I promise. Chuck me a cool idea and I’ll bundle something up, specifically for you.

Studio time

Shooting in a studio is a great way to get sharp, well-lit images that have versatility (product, fashion and e-commerce shoots in particular benefit from a studio).

Happy to come along to a studio you’ve booked and paid for, but if you need me to book on our behalf, this is the rough price you’re looking at (pending availability):

  • Half day (4 hours): $500

  • Full day (8 hours, plus a 30 min break): $1000

This price is in addition to my hourly rate. Hour-by-hour bookings can be discussed but a higher rate may apply depending on studio availability.

Cost must be paid up-front when booking, as the studio booking will be made immediately. Dates are unable to be moved after this point.

This is pretty formal stuff, but a studio means we can play with lighting and easily get some very sharp, very snazzy photos.
